SCIP Construction Technology
Advanced construction tech with integrated performance
Energy Smart Builders specialize in Structural Concrete Insulated Panel (SCIP) construction using the USS-PANEL® system. This technology combines an expanded polystyrene insulation core, steel reinforcement, and concrete applied to both sides of the panels to create an integrated structural envelope. Using SCIP construction, we can:
- Faster Construction
- Energy Efficiency by Design
- Strength and Resilience
- Fire Resistance and Sound Reduction
- Lower Long-Term Costs
By combining insulation and structural construction, SCIP offers a practical approach for buildings where energy performance, strength, and durability are central to the project. This allows us to select and apply the system based on each building’s intended use, site conditions, design requirements, and performance objectives.
Built Smarter From the Core Out
SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulated Panel) rethinks what a wall can do. Each panel starts with a lightweight foam core wrapped in welded steel mesh and reinforcement. Once concrete goes on both sides, it becomes a solid, insulated shell for walls, floors, and roofs. One system does the work that usually takes several, so projects move from foundation to finish faster.
Versatile Construction System
Most buildings stack separate layers for structure, insulation, and enclosure, and every seam between them is a weak point. SCIP combines all three into a single reinforced, monolithic structure. The panels are light enough to handle and place easily on site, and once they’re finished, they deliver strength, energy efficiency, fire resistance, quiet interiors, and protection against severe weather.
Diverse Construction Applications
From homes and hotels to schools, warehouses, and mission-critical facilities, SCIP adapts to the building you have in mind. Because one system covers so much, there are fewer materials and trades to coordinate. Every project is professionally engineered for its site, structural loads, intended use, and local building codes, so what we build is right for where it stands.
Value-Driven Construction
A SCIP building is an envelope with fewer thermal gaps than many conventional systems, which means steadier indoor temperatures and lower energy bills. When properly engineered, it withstands fire, extreme weather, and earthquakes, and it blocks outside noise. Construction finishes sooner, upkeep stays low, and operating costs keep shrinking year after year. The result is a building that’s safer, more comfortable, and ready for whatever comes.
